It’s OK, to not be OK!

Sometimes, the hardest battles
aren’t with the people standing near.
They’re in the quiet of your own mind,
in the things you tell yourself when no one can hear.

You can be the brightest light in someone’s world,
the kindest soul they’ve ever known,
and still struggle to see that same goodness
when you’re alone with your thoughts.

Because sometimes, it isn’t about how others see you.
It’s about how you see yourself.
It’s the questions you carry,
the old wounds you don’t know how to name,
and the feelings you never learned how to express.

You can be happy. You can be loved.
You can have a beautiful life
and still have days when your own mind
is the hardest place to find peace.

Steven, you were always more than what the world could see.
And I wish we talked more about the things we carry inside,
about learning to speak gently to ourselves,
about finding the words when feelings are hard to explain.

Because even the happiest people can struggle.
Even the strongest men can feel lost.
And no one should have to understand their pain perfectly
before they deserve a little help.

And love, my friends, is an action word.
It’s more than saying “I love you.”
It’s listening when someone struggles to speak,
making room for feelings they don’t know how to explain,
and showing up, not just when life is easy,
but when someone needs you to stay.

We don’t always know what’s happening inside another heart.
We can’t heal every wound or answer every question.
But we can choose to be present,
to listen without judgment,
and to show the people we love
that they matter, every single day. Because it is OK to not be OK

P.S. I love you. Baby I’m writing for you. Love you baby.
