Good morning father

Good Morning, Father
A Morning Prayer by Victoriana

Good morning, Father. It’s me, Your daughter, Victoriana.

Before the world wakes up and the weight of life finds me, let me sit with You for a moment. Let me count my blessings before I count my troubles. Let me remember what I have before I mourn what I’ve lost.

I woke up today.

There is breath in my body, a heartbeat in my chest, and another morning You have allowed me to see. Before I ask You for anything, Father, let me thank You for everything.

Thank You for my children, the little pieces of my heart walking around outside of me. Thank You for my home, for the warmth that fills it, and for the food on my table. Thank You for Steven, for the love we shared, the memories we made, and the life that will always be a part of my story.

Thank You for every mercy, even the ones I overlook. For the strength You gave me when I thought I had none, and for the mornings You carried me into when I wasn’t sure how I would make it through the night.

Father, remind me that my soul was never meant to find its home in the things of this world. My soul longs for You. It is in my relationship with You that I find the deepest part of who I am. Father, my soul loves Jesus with all my heart. Not just when life is beautiful or when my prayers are answered, but even here, in the middle of my grief, in the silence, in the questions, and in the moments when all I can do is whisper Your name.

Teach me not to measure my life by what is missing, but by the blessings that remain. Don’t let my pain become so loud that I forget the sound of Your goodness. Don’t let my grief blind me to the beauty that still lives around me.

There is still a sunrise to witness. Still a child to hold. Still a meal to share. Still a reason to pray. Even when my heart is heavy, there is still a Father who hears His daughter.

So this morning, Father, I come to You without a list of demands. Just a grateful heart, a soul still learning, and a love for Jesus that this world cannot give and hardship cannot take away.

I am here because You have carried me this far.

And if all I accomplish today is to love my children, keep my home filled with warmth, nurture my relationship with You, and remember to thank You for the breath in my lungs, then let that be enough.

Good morning, Father.

Thank You for another day.

Thank You for Your mercy.

Thank You for Jesus, the One my soul loves.

And thank You for reminding me that even after the hardest nights, Your goodness is still waiting for me in the morning.

Amen.
